The PortaPint 25C Guinness Starter Kit provides the main equipment required to dispense draught Guinness from a keg, including the PortaPint cooler, Guinness keg coupler, nitro tap, 70/30 mixed gas regulator, cleaning bottle, beer line cleaner and connecting pipework.
Designed as a straightforward draught Guinness dispenser setup for home bars, events and mobile bars, the kit uses the compact PortaPint 25C dry cooler to chill the beer before dispensing it through a dedicated stout/nitro tap.

At the centre of the kit is the PortaPint 25C, a compact single-tap draught drinks dispenser with an integrated dry cooling system.
The PortaPint 25C has a rated cooling output of 25 litres per hour, equivalent to approximately 45 UK pints per hour.
Unlike traditional water-bath coolers, the PortaPint uses dry cooling, so there is no water tank to fill and no ice bank to build before use.
A compatible A-Type keg coupler is included for connecting the dispense system to standard compatible Guinness kegs.
The coupler provides separate connections for the product and mixed gas lines.
Always check the valve fitted to the particular keg before connecting, as keg specifications can vary.
The standard PortaPint tap is replaced with a dedicated nitro stout tap suitable for dispensing Guinness and other compatible nitrogenated stouts.
The tap uses a creamer plate within the nozzle to help produce the controlled dispense and characteristic creamy head associated with draught Guinness.
Guinness requires the correct dispense gas and pressure rather than compressed air from the PortaPint's built-in compressor.
This starter kit therefore includes a 70/30 mixed gas regulator for connection to a suitable external beverage gas cylinder.

Although the PortaPint 25C has a built-in air compressor, this is not used to pressurise a standard Guinness steel keg.
For Guinness, connect the supplied mixed gas regulator to a suitable 70/30 beverage gas cylinder and use this to pressurise the keg.
This maintains the correct gas environment for the product and allows the Guinness to be dispensed through the nitro tap as intended.
Regular beer line cleaning is an important part of maintaining any draught Guinness setup.
